Also, due to the use of a variable f/3.5-4.5 maximum aperture the overall size and weight is kept to a minimum. Handling and operation is intuitive, especially with an Auto Clutch mechanism that prevents the focusing ring from rotating when autofocus is engaged. Additionally, the internally focusing lens has a minimum focus distance of 13.8" and it has a seven-blade circular diaphragm for smooth bokeh.
